Brenda is a professional Nurse Practitioner, educator and corporate consultant with 20+ years experience in the Health Education field. Her academic background includes University of Massachusetts, Boston University, and Regis College.
Brenda as owner and Director of ADE designs educational materials to engage the adult learner, and create an awareness of special geriatric issues concerning diabetes management in the aged. The inclusion of the aging perspective of the pathophysiology of diabetes teaches appropriate safety and monitoring of aged diabetics. The safety of the frail elderly is particularly important in long term care facilities. ADE presents courses in a variety of settings from the college classroom to long term care facilities including hospice.

Francine’s 15 years experience as an RN/CDCES is evident in her classes. Her practice includes consulting, teaching, program development for a variety of professional seminars specializing in diabetes for patients and health-care professionals. She was the Director of Diabetes Development at Tenet Healthcare, where she developed the ADA certified outpatient diabetes education program. She has been a guest speaker on WDAS radio and at the National Women’s Health Conference, and is a member of American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) and Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PSNA).
Francine has successfully worked as an Educator for ADE for 15 years. Her dynamic classroom style engages the students to make the class enjoyable as well as educational. She has taught in a variety of facilities from independent living to Adult Residential care.
